NNTWEE wordt 2
Jongerenplatform NNTWEE transformeert op 30 december 2018 in 2. In het huis van het Noord Nederlands Toneel + internationaal dansgezelschap Club Guy & Roni werken de 2-ers zowel voor als achter de schermen, onder professionele begeleiding mee aan dans, toneel en theatervoorstellingen. Iedere vakantieperiode neemt 2 Bloemstraat 38 over en maken ze samen theater.
Tijdens de kerstvakantie werken zo’n 40 jonge talenten onder de artistieke leiding van Art Director Andy Smart (Teddy’s Last Ride) aan de presentatie op 30 december 2018. Er wordt muziek gemaakt onder de professionele begeleiding van Fabian Dussen. Rogier Dasselaar begeleidt de dans en Andres Fouche is er voor film. 2 maakt een videoclip en een magazine.
Andy Smart over New2/NewU: We celebrate the accumulated efforts of our ALL STAR team – and their work with 2’s mission to bring their insides, outward. What does this mean? So easily we are cast in roles, and are obliged to perform an identity not wholly true to our nature. What is our nature, and what does it take to bring the real energy inside us all, out in to a world around us? What does it take to be the superhero we needed in our darkest hours? This evening is the celebration of transformation and the stories involved with such a process. 2 is on a mission to empower real people with a revived vision of theatre & dance, and it’s relevance to a generation saturated by pop culture and it’s easy answers to difficult questions.

It all begins with a red carpet entrance, and ends in the launch of 2’s 1st edition of transformation: editorialised photos of our ALL STAR team, their stories, their struggles, and their ultimate victories.
